Vehicle management with B-Box - FAQ
In this article you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions relating to the management of the vehicle equipped with a B-Box: before sending a request to our support try to see if the answer you are looking for is already here.
Is it possible to disconnect the B-Box from my vehicle, if installed?
You can disconnect the B-Box from the vehicles on which it is installed because you do not want to use its service, or for prolonged inactivity of the vehicle, at any official Benelli service centre.
Although the operation is very simple, since the device is visible under the saddle and connected with a dedicated socket, we advise you to always have this work carried out by authorised personnel.
What should I do in case of prolonged non-use of the vehicle (more than 2 weeks)?
The battery consumption of the B-Box is negligible, but in the event of prolonged non-use of the vehicle, please take the following steps to preserve the vehicle's battery charge:
- Connect the vehicle battery to a charge maintainer
- Disconnect the battery from the vehicle
- Unplugging the B-Box (at one of the official Benelli service centre)
Remember that the location and battery monitoring services will no longer be active once the device is disconnected from the motorbike or once the battery is disconnected.
The B-Box is equipped with an internal backup battery which, however, has a limited lifespan.
I have noticed excessive battery consumption, what should I do?
In the event of abnormal battery consumption (flat battery after short periods of inactivity of less than two weeks), we advise you to go to an authorised Benelli service centre to have the state of the battery and the correct functioning of the B-Box checked.
For any further needs, however, we advise you to go to an official Benelli service centre.
